I was born to a set of amazing parents, already walking in the gifts of service and ministry, who demonstrated mercy, compassion, and the love of God throughout my entire life. Following their example, when I was six I decided I was going to be a doctor…
…Twenty-one years later, I am three months from graduation from medical school, awaiting the results of the Match that will determine exactly which Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency program I will train at. Seven years ago, when I was in my undergraduate education, I made a decision that would change my life forever. I spent one semester studying in Lithuania. From that experience, I learned not only how to hear the Lord speaking to me, now loving to respond to Him, but I also learned about His heart for the world, and how intimately precious all persons are to my God. Those four short months changed my future plans from “doctor” to “missionary doctor.” I began pursuing medical school with a new zeal, and once I graduated from Fresno Pacific University, I worked at Children’s Hospital Central California for a year before beginning my graduate education at UCI School of Medicine. My ten-year plan is to find myself finished with residency and an adolescent medicine fellowship, working somewhere in Africa before returning to the States to work with at-risk teens in the role of an Obstetrician/Gynecologist. My dream is to keep returning periodically throughout my life to the place in Africa where God will take me post-residency….
I currently attend Faith Worship Community, a body of believers who are to me as dear and beloved as my own family. In the last two years, the Holy Spirit has been teaching me so much about prayer, intercession, and the gifts of healings that He has given me for the work of ministry and the edifying of the body of Christ. It is my hope and prayer that I will be found faithful with all that has been entrusted to me, that the light of Christ will shine boldly from my heart, that every word I speak is full of grace and life, and that I would live a salty life bringing great flavor to the world for the enjoyment of Jesus the Christ!!
